Marktleider in vernieuwende technologie en een jong en groeiend biotech bedrijf. Bij deze organisatie houden ze zich bezig met de ontwikkeling van nieuwe medicijnen. Dit doen ze zowel voor klanten, als voor diens eigen product portfolio. De eigen producten baseren zee op een gepatenteerde technologie. Daarmee kunnen ze bekende medicijnen verbeteren en bijvoorbeeld zorgen dat ze langer werken en minder bijwerkingen veroorzaken.

De organisatie heeft een platte organisatiestructuur. Er heerst een grote teamgeest zowel op bedrijfs- als op afdelingsniveau. Aan elke afdeling is een lid van het managementteam gekoppeld waar alle medewerkers van die afdeling te allen tijde terecht kunnen. Van deze mogelijkheid wordt ook regelmatig gebruik gemaakt.

Beschrijving functie

Job description:
The Manager Logistics is responsible for operational logistic activities including the implementation of processes and optimizing the logistics operation involving the warehouse. The Manager Logistics is also the first point of contact for planning within the Operations unit. In this role you work closely with the Production, Quality Control, Facilities, Quality Assurance and Finance departments and you supervise the staff of the planning group and the warehouse.

Duties and responsibilities:

Analysising the daily operation and optimizing processes
Project Implementation
Develop and implement change and improvement processes
Supervising, managing, coaching and evaluating approximately 5 employees
Report to the Operations Manager

Profile:
You are thoroughgoing, solution- and result-oriented. You have an excellent organizational insight and you have good communication and leadership skills.
You have the flexibility that fits with a growing organization, active in the development and small-scale production of pharmaceutical products. You are able to retain the overview, identify contexts and subsequent action. You are analytical by nature and strong in figures.

Background:
BSc + work and thinking level, graduated in one of the following subjects: Engineering / Information Systems / Business Administration / Economics or Logistics
A couple of years proven logistics experience within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry is a must
Familiarity and experience with GMP
Good command of the Dutch and English language spoken and in writing
Experience with WMS and ERP systems (Ross is a pro)
